VOTE Learning about Paul's views is important; but you must act on that information if your voice is going to be heard. The first step is to register to vote, then come to your local polling place on election day and cast your ballot. If you cannot get to the polls, cast an absentee ballot. Any citizen of Wisconsin who has lived in the state for the ten days prior to an election is eligible to vote. You can also personally go to the clerk's office, complete a written application, and vote by absentee ballot. The deadline for making application to vote absentee by mail is 5:00 p.m. on Friday preceding the election. The deadline for voting an absentee ballot in the clerk's office is 5:00 p.m. on Monday preceding the election. All voted ballots must be returned to the municipal clerk so the clerk can deliver them to the proper polling place before the polls close on election day. Primary Election: Tuesday, September 9, 2008 General Election: Tuesday, November 4, 2008 |
